SharePoint Workflow and Infopath

Hi

I currently have quite a complex SharePoint 2010 workflow. I have a library with many columns/fields. This is a Non-conformance compliance workflow with some of the fields required.

The problem I currently have is that there are two fields(Preventative Action and Corrective Action) that needs to become required fields at a certain stage of the workflow. There is an email that will go to the recipient which he/she needs to accept, then there is a second email that will be received by the recipient, he/she needs to add info in the Preventative and Corrective Action fields before the workflow can continue.

Can I somehow add these fields in the workflow form using InfoPath and add a rule for these field to contain data before the stage can continue/approved.

I have tried adding these fields but it keeps adding it as repeating fields. I have very limited knowledge with InfoPath. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thank you

Hello,

What are the data types of the fields? How are you placing them on the form? Can you post a screenshot of the offending behaviour?

I have managed to get my solution to work by adding a custom field on my workflow approval form, then retrieving the data from the workflow Task List and updating in my library using Workflow Variables.

This way I can still make the Fields required on the form only
