nexus 5K configuration

Hello, I have a single Nexus 5K siwitch and currently a single UCS FI connect to it. currently UCS server is reporting link down and I think its because the Vlan I created on 5K are not routable.

I would like to configure Nexus 5K to route VLAN internally, i dont need traffice to go out at this moment, just need to make sure all the VLAN i created on Nexus 5K working.

Can someone please advise me how to do this on 5K?

Thanks

First of all, do you have the L3 card in your N5k? Otherwise, software-routing will not do a very good job ...

Apart from that, for inter-vlan-routing, all you actually should need are VLAN interfaces on the Nexus ... e.g.:

interface vlan 100
   ip address 192.168.100.1/24

interface vlan 101
   ip address 192.168.101.1/24

This should result in a routing table containing both subnets (check with "show ip route")
(additional setting may still be missing, like "feature interface-vlan" - though that ought to be it ...)

Thanks alot Garry, i have created vlan interfaces on my 5k per your instruction,  and my 5K doesnt appear to have a L3 card in it, so i need to connect it to my 7k for routing, how should I configure the 5K to forward all routing out to my 7k?

Thanks alot for your help!

By trunking the required VLANs through to the 7k, then configuring the VLAN interfaces with the gateway IPs there should take care of that ...
