Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is a common issue when PCs go to sleep. You can check the network card properties and power management and check the options to never turn the card off and to not allow the computer to turn the card off. Best solution is to not use sleep mode or to logoff and logon in the AM. http://superuser.com/questions/545500/windows-7-network-dies-after-sleep-mode

It would be nice to have more details.
First, is this an AD environment or a workgroup?
Second; does the internet work when the PC wakes?
If it does, what network connections or programs don't work?

FYI: The power setting for wireless and for the NIC is on USER basis, not a machine basis. So if the machines is ever given to a different person, this setting will have to be changed again.
