Cisco C4500X SFP port issue

Getting no where to bring up the Te2/1/7 switchport with the Cisco 1Gbps SFP mini-GBIC (GLC-LH-SMD=) in the Cisco WS-C4500X-16.
---
Te2/1/7   ** Level3 P2P      notconnect   routed       full   auto 1000BaseLH
---

The port is setup as a simple routed port as below.
---
interface TenGigabitEthernet2/1/7
 description ** Level3 P2P
 no switchport
 ip address 10.4.0.2 255.255.255.252
 no ip redirects
 no ip unreachables
 no ip proxy-arp
end
---

It is a 1GB point-to-point to data center B which is setup as 10.4.0.1 255.255.255.0 with UP/UP status.

Level3 tech tested the fiber signal all the way to the SMF cable with 100% good signal in data center A.  The SMF cable plugged into Te2/1/7.

Can someone tell me what am I missing???

Did you check the log for any clues?

Also, probably a typo the subnetmask you wrote here:
B which is setup as 10.4.0.1 255.255.255.0 with UP/UP status.

Any more details with something like??:
sh int Tei2/1/7 transceiver detail

Hi spratek -  no such command for "transceiver detial".  The subnetmask is connect.  It's a P2P which has only 2 IPs from point-to-point.
ok, can you tell us what you software version is?

A few other commands we can try and can possibly be helpful:

show idprom interface Te2/1/7

Let's try it this way (without detail)

show interfaces Te2/1/7 transceiver

And

show interfaces Te2/1/7

The subnetmask can be correct, but you typed 2 subnetmasks (255.255.255.252 and 255.255.255.0) hence my question.
Also, did you check the log of the switch for problems?
Another question, is this a single 4500X or is this a VSS? And what is at the other side?

Hmmm, looks ok ...

The only thing different that caught my eye was the auto-mdix setting, which is disabled on the 4500x side, normally that shouldn't be a problem but can't hurt to try it out.

Did you try other SFPs? I'm guessing nothing in the logs since you're not mentioning it here...
