Disabling DistributedCOM error logging in Windows Event Viewer

Hi,

I'm trying to disable the DistributedCOM from logging errors in Windows Event Viewer. I don't need to disable DistricbutedCOM altoerher, just prevent it from logging errors.

How would I do this? It is on a Windows 2008 server.

Thanks,
Abdul

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

To disable the dcom event errors you need to make this registry change

If no issue is found, you can simply disable this Schannel event logging by changing the following registry value to 0.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\EventLogging

I make this change on every Windows 2008 and Windows 2012 Server
