asked on

Cisco router - vlan member to have no access to each other

Hi,

I have a cisco RV180W wireless router.

I have 2 VLANs.

I would like the devices on the 2nd VLAN to have only access to the outside world, ie zero internal communication.

Currently the 2nd VLAN is available on 1 of the ports and 1 of the SSIDs.

How would I achieve this?

Thanks in advance

Let's assume VLAN1 is using 10.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 and VLAN2 is using 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0...

You should be able to create an access rule which denies all traffic from 192.168.0.0 to 10.0.0.0.  This doc will help...

ASKER

hi Craig,

thanks for the help.

I didn't explain myself correctly, I would like VLAN2 devices to only have access to the internet, I do not want them to have access to each other either. I have seen on other router a setting similar to this in a tick box but cannot find one on this router.

I hope that makes it a little more clear.

thanks
gareth
