Network disconnects for Windows 8 clients on a Windows Server 2012 Essentials network

Having an issue where a Windows Server 2012 Essential-based network is having issues with its Windows 8 clients being disconnected from the network sporadically. There is nothing in the server logs indicating any hardware failures or network disconnects, Switch and cabling have been replaced. Any thoughts?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Windows Server Essentials should support Windows 8. For certain, Windows 8.1 can remain connected to Server 2012 forever without dropping.

How many Windows 8 machines?

Since you are certain the server and network are OK. I suggest you do the following:

(1) Do a TCP/IP reset and DNS flush.
Open cmd.exe with Run as Administrator
Then  netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
Also, ipconfig /flushdns followed by net stop dnscache followed by net start dnscache
Then restart the computer

(2) Set the power properties of the Network Cards to be always ON. In Device Manager, for Network Cards, uncheck settings that allow the card to be turned off.
