Display date rather than DateID in sub form

Folks,
In the attached db I have a form with a sub form. In the sub form I want to display the Date however, I can only display the DateID key. I've tried hiding the DateID control while creating an unbound text box control to display the date from a query the sub form is based on, but that did not work.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
