Amazon Cloud Drive

I just signed up for a trial Unlimited Cloud Storage on Amazon Cloud Drive.

Amazon provides a Desktop and Mobile App for Uploading/Downloading files to and from my devices.

That said, I would like to be able backup WordPress sites via Plugin directly to my Amazon Cloud Drive from GoDaddy Host.  Is there a way to make this happen?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Just for clarification, are you talking about Amazon's S3 service?

not with that opton

Not S3... It is the Amazon Cloud Drive.  The one that cost $59 for unlimited Cloud Storage.

Is there a way to backup via FTP or SFTP to Amazon S3?
Darr247Commented:
You could backup your WordPress site[s] to S3 using https://wordpress.org/plugins/backupwordpress/ (see its FAQ), then 'sideload' the data from S3 to AWS (e.g. http://www.webforefront.com/bigdata/owndatasetstoaws.html ).
It's not clear to me if that WordPress plugin would backup directly to AWS.

Amazon Cloud Storage is ON Amazon S3.. just a different name. Different SLA.

Amazon Cloud Drive differs from AWS S3 in the fact it has a different interface and front end and is effectively a SaaS product.  However, Amazon Cloud Drive does in fact store any data uploaded to the AWS S3 architecture and so it retains the 99.999999999% durability of your Data giving you a highly reliable service.

Although stored on S3, it doesnt give you the manageability of additional configurable items you can perform with an AWS S3 account using the AWS Console.

Cloud Drive does however give you a fantastic thumbnail view of photos and organisation where S3 doesnt have this option as its a bare bones object based storage interface.  If you want to view photos you have stored on 'the cloud' and scroll through them with ease, Cloud Drive does a great job of this!

Amazon Cloud Cloud is in its own right a different offering to S3 to storage (although the back end architecure storage is the same)

Cheers,

Stuart

Coming at April33's question from a different direction; is anyone aware of a plugin that enables you to use Amazon Cloud Drive as a remote media library for a Wordpress site?
