SharePoint Designer 2013 does not show all workflows

I have a 2010 workflow developed in SPD 2013.  Suddenly, it does not appear in the list of workflows.  The .xoml files (etc) are all still there and it still executes properly but doesn't show in the SPD 2013 list of workflows to edit.   I tried restoring a previous version and it restored properly but also not visible in the workflow list.  I have a copy of the same workflow on a duplicate list - I used Metavis to copy it back to the original - but it still does not appear on the workflow list for the original list.

Thoughts?  - thanks in advance. (I've cleared the SPD cache several times - still no joy ) .

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is probably a permissions issue.  Have you tried editing it when running as the farm account?

Alternatively get and use that to analyse the workflow - you will be able to see and edit the full SharePoint configuration of your site/list/workflow using this amazing tool.

Not a permissions issue (I don't think - I'm SCA on the site collection.  I don't have a farm account.
I ended up just copy/paste into a new workflow and then fixed all of the workflow variables.
Thanks for the input.
