Is it possible to restrict access to columns in Sharepoint?

I have a simple cusomt page  designed Sharepoint where users wil submit ideas and have Supervisor, VP's HR, etc... approve or deny the suggestions and ideas. I want the ability to block certain users from editing the Supervisor approval/rejection, VP approval approval/rejection and Expert approval/rejection columns. is this possible? If not, can you recommend a way that will allow me to prevent users from changing the values of these columns? Screenshot is attached.

Yes you can hack that form to insert javascript to hide rows ;http://the-north.com/sharepoint/post/Hide-Unwanted-Fields-On-Calendar-Form
There are no out of the box way to have column level permission. However there are third party solutions, and I'm using one of them from Boost solutions.

It's upto you if you want to go for third party products or not have column level permission, unless you have access to SharePoint development expertise.
