does skype for business interfer with my business network if i want to use it with my personal address, but use it on the works pc

hi, I have a student who has been asked to have Skype for business installed on his works pc to work with the university. for about a year. I was looking at the Skype for business online plan 2.
as a business we have a windows 2008 small business server and no lync/Skype for business on the domain.

If the student was to have the Skype for business installed on his work pc, would it interfere with outlook on his work email address, whilst registering Skype for business on his personal address ?

what were trying to do, is have it on his works outlook, but work with the university system at the same time to have meetings and desktop sharing.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

he can only sign into 1 account at a time

Skype for business requires a office 365 account. (not Outlook.com or MIcrosoft account).
so he can't register skype for business on his personal address (unless he paid for a skype for business tenant and he is using it)

i think you just need a normal skype application rather than skype for business (just my quick smell but you need to ask the exact reason why)

Skype for business has integration with Outlook.

Does the Skype application have desktop sharing ?

Refer to http://www.skype.com/en/features/screen-sharing/

assuming the other end are using the same.
