temp files means? What you are trying to move to usb drive. Remember USB drives are not designed to be used on server. It is just to store data.

I have a customer with an SBS 2011 server running Exchange 2010, he is having mailboxes quarantined and I suspect possible server performance issues, threads taking too long. It is a small Fujitsu server with 16Gb RAM with a pair of mirrored hard drives. This means that the tmp and temp folders are on the same drive as the operating system.<br />

Question, is it OK to add an EXternal USB hard drive and make the paths to the temp folders on the external drive to see if it helps?<br />
Or would that not work?
