Linking Two Routers, Wirelessly

Say you have two AC3200 Ultra Wi-Fi Routers, DIR-890L/R model

Say router A is hooked up to my cable modem.....

Is it possible to hook up router B to router A without an ethernet cable attached to it? I see there is an "AP mode" in router B (I set router B to this) but the minute I disconnect the cable from Router A to move the AP, I lose the connectivity.

Does this particular model not have the capability to do what I want it to? Or is this conceptually not possible

If there isn't a way to in the GUI to find the SSID of the other router and rebroadcast it then I'm going to say that the answer is most likely no. You may, however be able to do this with DD-WRT. Most likely the AP feature you are seeing is for a connection to a wired network where there is already another router.

ASKER

So what is the mode i'm looking for that allows this to happen? Would this be a 'bridged' mode?
or whatever the name of the feature would be
