how to query a remote microsort sql database from AIX?

I need to query a remote microsoft database, no matter which version, from an AIX box.

Is there any free jdbc driver or something similar for AIX OS?

Not pretty sure work for AIX but from here you can download ODBC driver for SQL server on Linux

No, first link is only for Linux..

Second link it's available for an unsuported version of AIX 5.3.

I have installed but I'm dont know how to test this ODBC and be sure if it can be connected to a MSSQL database. I'll try and let you know.

Well.. It seems you can use unixODBC with FreeTDS ODBC to acess Microsoft's SQL Databases. See here:

And it's also rpms for freetds are on perzl: http://www.perzl.org/aix/index.php?n=Main.Freetds
