I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Try: /sbin/ifconfig eth0
What are you trying to do here?
vim /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

Seth SimmonsSr. Systems AdministratorCommented:
ifcfg-eth0 is the configuration file for the eth0 interface; it is not a command
the top of your output shows ifup so i'm guessing you are trying to bring the interface up
in this case, you do ifup eth0
