I have Win 7 Pro, all the updates, all current drivers, current BIOS, and IE 11 on my laptop. I also have the network interface power set to NOT be controlled by the computer.
Issue: When I lock the computer for the day, when I come in the next morning, and open IE, I get "page not found". Only rebooting the computer gives me back IE and other functionality.
Any idea what might be going on?
I have Sophos AV, ran that scan, ran MalwareBytes, and CCleaner. Nothing is working.

try pinging a web address see if it resolves
ping by ip address see if that replies
ping dns server and gateway, they respond?
maybe tracert to a site

To continue on MicrosoftSavvy's idea, try running "ipconfig /flushdns" from a command line and see if that fixes it without a reboot.

What page is IE trying to open? Your Home Page? (IE Tools|Internet Options|General tab|Home Page section (top). What address is shown?
If this is something new, run a System Restore to a time before it started.

About 2 months or so. I've had to reload IE 10, that fixed it for a while, then it started up again when I upgraded to IE 11. I've disabled every add on, so essentially I'm running IE (no add ons) mode. I'll see what happens overnight.

Ran chkdsk, all was clear. Running IE in Safe Mode (without add-ons), and I'm not seeing the problem anymore. I'll be restoring the addons until IE balks again. Thanks for the tips and hints.
