How Detach Attachments - Outlook for Mac 2011

Hi - I have used EZDetach for years on Windows.
Does anyone have a way to get the attachments from Outlook for MAC on an Exchange Server?
I want to get/save the attachments, not delete them, so that I can give them to my current peers

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Bad News .. Outlook for OSX does not support plugins unlike the Windows version .. and there are no 3rd party tools you can install.

Unfortunately Outlook for OSX is a much less capable application than its Windows counterpart.

Your only options are to manually SAVE ATTACHMENTS on each email to ensure the files are stored on your computer .. then you can REMOVE ATTACHMENTS.
You can also create RULES on Outlook to save attachements and then delete attachments automatically on a folder or inbox

To be honest, your best option is to get your hands on Outlook on Windows and extract the attachments and cleanup  .. you could copy the attachments via USB drive or network and keep on the Mac but not linked to the original emails - this option simply doesn't exist on Outlook 2011 for OSX.
