SCCM 2012 R2 BranchCache not enabled
Hi,
I am having an issue where i have enabled Branchcache on my DP's as well as deployed the GPO with the firewall rules and i have confirmed that my clients have received this GPO but when i check my Filebits.log all thats logged in there is "BranchCache Is Not Enabled"
I have attached the log.
is there something else i am missing ?

Seems all good. Can you see branchcache service running?
Also it appears that pro version is fine too. Please check this link.

Hi,
I have run the following command
This command can only be executed when BranchCache is installed.
So the GPO is applying and my DP has Branchcache enabled but it seems that the client isnt getting it enabled even though the GPO is saying it is enabled.
I have run the following command
netsh branchcache show status
on one of the clients that has the GPO applied and i get the following response. This command can only be executed when BranchCache is installed.
So the GPO is applying and my DP has Branchcache enabled but it seems that the client isnt getting it enabled even though the GPO is saying it is enabled.
Please check from this list once more and if it still does not work then try on SCCM 2012 forums. Help is fairly quick there.

Hi,
Thanks but looked at this link before, i checked a read the GPO setting and it states that even if you enable the BranchCache via the GPO the actual feature still needs to be installed.
thanks for your help.

I was following this guide Enable BranchCache, i was under the impression that when the GPO is applied it enables BranchCache on the clients in that OU that the GPO is linked to ?
it does not mention the need to enable it individually on each client.
