Does anyone has a checklist for rebuilding file servers in the target forest and copying data/permissions over from old file servers to new file servers?

Does anyone has a checklist for rebuilding file servers in the target forest and copying data/permissions over from old file servers to new file servers? Have to mention that our file servers are also used as target folder in DFS. If you have file server checklist with DFS, would be great!

Thank you

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

in a new forest/domain even using the same domain names the sid's will be different. So you can't migrate the ACL's .. everything from the forest down to the user will get a new SID.  The sticking point may be the users SID's and joining the users machines to the domain.. if you migrate you don't have these problems.
