a friend got this to try for sample.. but it does not have an expire date..

is an expire date relevant to this product?
(if it is time dependent stuff, then I can ask him to pitch it and worth trifling with)

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There is nothing organic in the mix, so I would guess that it can't "go bad."
Solutions can evaporate and/or oxidize over time when exposed to the air.
I have seen sealed 5 gal bottles of spring water grow mold after several months because they lingered in the back of the shelf.
In the sense that a product containing free oxygen might be expected to undergo chemical reactions, an expire date might seem relevant.
In the sense that it appears that the product is worthless, an expire date might seem irrelevant.

In short depending on how and where it is stored the product expiry date will differ. The product seems to be a combination of (H2O2) HOOH & NaCl ( Common Salt).

OH - alcohol is fine with date (wine has no expiry date), but peroxide will go down with age. So if you store it in your refrigerator, within a tightly closed opaque bottle then it will last some years.

Depending on the concentrations, its uses differ from medical to industrial bleaching.

I am not sure for what you want to use it but here is a link that will give you some insights.
