I have a new RHEL running on virtual box on my laptop and want it to talk to 8.8.8.8

I am very new to this , how can I do this?

I have configured the rhel to use 192.168.122.1 I guess

My laptop is 192.168.50.142

Do I have to set up a route to this gateway ? on 192.168.50.1?

thanks

You should use bridged networking then you would get a local up on the 192.168.50 network
