VMWare vCenter Confiramtion Manager V5

I am in the process of adding vm server with 2008R2 OS to VMWare vCenter Confiramtion Manager V5 (under adrministration -> available machines) and for some reason when I'm about to license it, it gives me an error that I can't license it because it is read as "unknown machine class' therefore unable to license. Any ideas? Thank you!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

My first suggestion is going to be to create a new VM and to restore the server to it from a reliable backup to see if it will register that way. The closest reference I have found in a quick search is http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vcenter-configuration-manager-56-troubleshooting-guide.pdf. The information contained at http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2172 may also be useful.
