What is exactly VTEP in VXLAN ?
Is this a physical interface of the Esxi host or a logical interface used as  VTEP ?

VTEP stands for VXLAN Tunnel End Point. Theu are behave as logical interface and connect the access of IP network.  Their main function is to capture the VM( Virtual Machine ) Traffic within an IP Header to send across an IP Network.
