My computer is no longer "sick."  It appears to be running a lot better since, I got rid of the Norton Virus Protection.  From my experience, the Norton protection for all of my computers MAC and PC has not provided the completed that I need.  So, thanks so much for your help and assistance. I tried to install the AVAST on my MAC after uninstalling the Norton and it failed to install.  I want something like the Hitman Pro or a paid antivirus solution.  Thanks for all your assistance Experts.

I know I'm late to this antivirus party, but I would like to echo Dave's suggestion of Avast.  Its been my savior since 2006 for both mac and pc (free version and purchased version are stellar programs).  Their VPN program SecureLine is very reliable too.
