Time machine and outlook are two different subject. I used time machine for backing up whole device. Archive something that could be mapped to Outlook so user has access it all the time. Archive offers mobility and Time machine is system and data protection

Outlook 2011 for OSX does not have an auto-archive feature like Windows version .. so you have to

1. Use rules to move emails from an external IMAP or Exchange folder to another folder on your local HD
https://answers.uchicago.edu/page.php?id=28555
You can then use the next step

2. Run the Archive/Export feature to save emails as OLM repository

Otherwise you might want to try this application as Outlook itself doesn't have a proper backup or archiving solution - Mail Archiver X - http://www.mothsoftware.com/index.html

Thanks for reply.. I tried rules and export on a test computer last week. Issues with both the process is folder structure and I did not categorizing option for export, specially for user with 26 GB mailbox. May be I will have to test with Mail Archiver X, hopefully it has option for folder structure
