Domain Controller 2008 R2 Shutdown Unexpectedly

One of our servers shutdown unexpectedly due to a ntkrnlmp.exe. This is is the image name after analyzing the dump file. What could be the cause of this issue? Any thoughts? Thanks!

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This error is most often resolved by using standard preventative maintenance steps on the server in question. This includes a full scan for malware, ensuring Windows Updates are installed, checking for newer drivers for hardware, especially newly installed hardware, and running a registry checking software to resolve issues in the registry which may contribute to an error.

Review the event system logs, look for errors and critical events.  You can also go to http://resplendence.com/download and obtain who's crashed.  This will put the debug file in plain English.  There are two versions; free/paid.  I have had a great deal of success with the free version but sometimes it does give you generic output.  You can also check the BIOS and recently installed updates.
