Make a command button enabled if there is a matching record in a separate table

On a main form I have a command button that by default is not enabled.  But if there is a matching record ID in a separate table then I want the command button to be enabled.

The record ID in the main form is [ID], (txtID), and the related record in the separate table is [WorkOrderID].

What would the VBA code be to accommodate this and would it go in the OnOpen event of the main form?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I suggest to place this code in the Load event of the form

me.commandbutton.enabled= dcount("*","OtherTableName","[WorkOrderID]=" & me.txtId)> 0
