Data recovery on a SQL server

I have a problem with a SQL server. I have a drive that is partitioned with multiple volumes. One volume is for the OS and the second volume is for the Database which has been running just fine for over a year.  Now I have a problem the the second volume where it shows the drive letter only. When you try to access the drive it says that drive is not formatted. When I format it and then do a restore from  Veeam it buts the drive in the same state even though I am using a restore point that is earlier from the onset of the problem. I opened a call with Veeam and after multiple restore attempts they state that the problem is not with the backup. They suggested using a 3rd party software to try and recover data from the drive. The server is virtualized. It was P2Ved when we virtualized over a year ago. Any suggestions to try and recover the data would be greatly appreciated.

In my opinion your server or hard drive may be crashed that's why you cant access to the database. you should try third party tool to recover your database. Just go on Google and type "SQL Recovery Tool" u will get various tools list.

if the data is important, I would contact Data Recovery specialists, e.g. Kroll Ontrack -

The OS partition has become corrupted, and the less you try, the better chance Kroll will have at recovery.
