Nested ESxi Server - Simulating a Recovery of an ESXi Host from Acronis Backup/Boot-Media?

Was planning on deploying the same version ESXi hosts OS to one of my production ESXi hosts and recovering an acronis esxi backup from boot media to our repository (making sure recovered ESXI is not on the production network).

Is the above feasible?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, it's feasible, and I would recommend ALL VMware Administrators, do this regularly, and test Restores, and How to Recover from a DR situation, when a "BOMB" hits your organisation!

So just take your backup, and then construct and write a plan, as to what you need to complete a DR situation, from scratch.

It's a good test!
