So "a" is a cell that is already filled in and b is where the formula is?

What if "a" is neither 0 nor 16, do you want just an empty string put into b, or 0?

Missus Miss_SellaneusCommented:
This will put 0 into the "b" cell if a is neither 0 nor 16.

Substitute the cell reference for a.

=IF(a=0,0,IF(a=16,(16-8.5)*.75,0))

If you target cell is A1, put this in B1:

=IF(OR(A1=0,A1<>16),0,(16-8.5)*0.75 )
