Send Quickbooks form using Outlook sends from wrong account

I'm using Quickbooks Enterprise 15 and Outlook 2013.  Quickbooks does create the email in Outlook but it automatically uses the Exchange account instead of the POP account which is the default.  Is there any way to force Quickbooks to use the default account?  Maybe create a second profile in Outlook with only that account - and then figure out how to get Quickbooks to use that profile??

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You should have Outlook with a default account / profile that matches the account in QuickBooks you wish to use. That will work.

The first suggestion works fine if the user notices that the wrong account is in the From field.  Unfortunately, they don't.  Thus my question.

Regarding the second suggestion, that doesn't change how QuickBooks operates.  Maybe you could open Outlook with a profile that only had the default mail account in it, but again that's asking of the user more than I can expect.

We're logging into QuickBooks as Admin.  It's not practical to have an Admin account as the default in their Outlook.  I need a way to force QuickBooks to use a particular account and/or profile in Outlook.

Thanks!

What I was saying is that you want to make a default Outlook Profile / Account that is the same as the email account set up in QuickBooks. So long as QuickBooks points to the default Outlook Account, it doesn't matter about QuickBooks being admin.

So... name the default profile in Outlook "Admin" instead of "Outlook"?

No. Use the email account in QuickBooks (can be any email) that is the default Outlook email. Nothing to do with admin.

Go into QuickBooks, Preferences and set up the email address.

I see three choices: webmail, Outlook or QuickBooks E-mail.  Outlook doesn't give me the choice to set up a specific account.  One of the other two?

To your first post, set up a new Outlook Profile with the QuickBooks email account you want.

Note: to belt and suspender, your QB email account must be the Outlook default account.

I tried setting up a new profile in Outlook with just the POP account, and I named the profile Admin.  However QuickBooks insists on using the Exchange account in the old profile.

QuickBooks will use the default Outlook Profile. You need to make the POP account profile Default (which means you will have to change profile to use Exchange).

It truly will be easier to use Exchange to send the email.

Yeah, you're right.  They'll never agree to having to change profiles.  I'll just tell them to learn to adapt to the way this works.

Thanks. I have done what I have suggested, but it is easier to use the main default Outlook Account and adapt (as you say) .
