ASPX Basic Question

I am new to aspx web page development and have a simple question.  Since the aspx.cs program runs on the web server, I am assuming the aspx.cs program will continue to run even if the user closes the browser?  In other words, closing the browser will not terminate any running aspx.cs program.  Right?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

the program keeps running servicing all users. it will eventually recycle and if no activity for a period of time it will go into a sleep state.  The code behind really only reacts to events submitted by the user. no events then there is nothing to do so it just sits idle.
