I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The best way is to have 2 SQL Server instances. One installed with Latin1_General Binary ant the other one with a Chinese collation.

The collation only defines the sort order, when you're using NCHAR(), NVARCHAR(), NTEXT (SQL Server Collation Fundamentals).

Thus you can always use a custom collation when you query your data.

When you're getting "wrong" results due to internal sort problems of your system, then this must be resolved by the vendor.

So the question is: What is you're problem, you're trying to solve?
