VMWare Fusion 7 upgrading the guest operating System

Good morning all,

I have the VMWare fusion installed on my macbook pro (Yosemite, latest update).

So far I only have one guest OS, Windows 8 (my version of windows 8 does not support the free upgrade from Windows Store). I have Windows 8.1 that I would like to use to upgrade the Windows 8.

Can someone please help me with that?

Thanks and Kind Regards,

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

After your comment I did connect another CD Rom to the virtual machine.

Earlier I tried with the Mac CD/DVD Rom but it did not work. But when I read your suggestion I tried with another CD Rom and it worked.
