ubuntu server , rdp client

hello experts,

I Spent several days looking for RDP client for Ubuntu.
I like the idea of having a second build so we can compare the FREERDP against other candidates.

Here are my findings /questions:
•FREERDP is version 1.0.2!!!  And there are two builds  - one dev and one with the debug icon – both V. 1.0.2.  It does not support Server 2012 or Windows 8 and there are 20 bugs reported on Ubuntu’s site!
•we tried grdesktop – it has the highest user ratings of any client I found! I vote we use this client for our comparison / next build.
•2X Client RDP  is out in my opinion because it has really bad ratings!
•What client do you think we should try next?
•Specifically FREERDP is it 1.0.2, Openbox, XFCE, Ubuntu is V 14.04 or 12.04 or ?????

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
