VMWare 5.5 Connection to SAN

Hi All,

I had a VMware host server fail due to the SD card becoming corrupt.  We were able to reinstall the host but we can no longer see the SAN.  I do believe it is connected through iSCSI but the host server cannot find it through scanning for drives

What else do I need to do to get it connected

Thank you for all your help in adavnce

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is likely because the re-install has created a new iSCSI IQN for your Host Server, copy this new iSCSI IQN, and add it to the access permissions for the LUNs on your SAN.

If you re-installed ESXi than you've lost the iscsi initiator/   You'll have to find the iqn of the ESXi host from the SAN and change it to the correct one.  In addition you'll need to put the targets back into the software iscsi adapter.
