How to replace Google Maps search nearby feature
We depend on Google maps for their "search nearby" feature where you input an address and then search nearby for places like Starbucks. This has been an important feature in our day to day business use. Now Google has changed that.
Is there any way to source data on the internet without using Google Maps and without using any of the searches engines pre-built and restrictive, ad based "apps"? Specifically need to find (for example) all Starbucks near a certain address. Do we need an algo, or, what could we use instead of Google Maps? Yahoo does not work well, other search engines don't work well.
We need all instance of Starbucks and we need the specific distance and we need to be able to get it quickly. The way Google works now is very cumbersome. That, and we want to have more control. Google is frequently breaking their app and making really stupid changes, randomly and we are tired of having our day turned upside down by Google's random "improvements".
