How can test mysql db created in Directadmin on our dedicated server?

I have rented a dedicated server  but not transferred our domain to this server.

Just created a db in Directadmin and upload  the file of db(like  mydb.sql)  from my laptop to this db.

Please let me know how can i test this db with phpmyadmin?

is phpmyadmin on this dedicated server?
can you install it on this dedicated server? (if you can: do it, but remember that at some later stage security will suggest that you place some additional protection)

Yes ,phpmyadmin  is installed and work well, when i created the db on server ,it wrote the specification of db like  dbname, username, pass and for host it is:localhost
then when i run phpmyadmin it show the db name but there is not any table in it.

In addition i want to know that do we must specify a part of hard for mysql dbs?
Bernard S.CTOCommented:
phpmyadmin is isntalled
it shows (presumably) the db which looks as empty.

manually add a table to the db.
If it works then you can delete the table and import your sql file, which will create all the tables
If it does not work, then you have aproblem with phpmyadmin install

But there is one thing that i found when i wanted create that table ,my db is MYISAM ,do i must set phpmyadmin for accepting this kind of db?

How can find the size of my db on server to ensure that the db has imported correctly?
MOSTAGHASSIAuthor Commented:
In addition i haven't made Partitioning for mysql on server.
Bernard S.CTOCommented:
phpmyadmin handles all format, so no worry

partitionning: not required, except if you need it for some reason
