Thank you for your responses! I was able to get this to work but it was not easy...<br />

CRM doesn't play nice when coming to SQL instance name changes. It took me a while to make all the necessary changes in order to make it work.

Could I encounter any issues if I just clone a VM and give the new VM a different name and IP address? I want to get a copy of a production server so I can test on it and have them run in parallel. <br />
