offsite backup sbs2008

Hi Experts,

I am wanting to setup an offsite backup for a sbs2008 server to backup to the clients home computer or storage.  I've got experience with a 3rd party backup provider who do offsite backups to a data centre and they use Storage Craft and Image Manager.  They backup the data to a local NAS and then i believe the images are compressed or compiled and then transferred to the data centre.  If i wanted to replicate the same solution but backup to the clients home storage any idea how the images are transferred offsite.  Does the Storage Craft software support this?  Would i need to setup a FTP server on the home storage and copy the images to that from the clients office.  I believe the 3rd party provider only backup the incremental changes of the images, so the internet usuage is relatively low and it doesnt hog the bandwidth.  I dont want to be copying full images across the internet each night.

Were backing up an SBS server here I think we need 2 forms of basic backup with a bit of different functionality.

1. Offsite backup using online backup manager, find a managed service provider who will set this up for you do not use Mozy Pro.

2. Use the same online backup manager to backup to a nas locally onsite and wherever else you want.

3. If you want to be really nitty you can also run an image backup from Acronis B&M which i highly recommend or the dreaded Windows Backup.

4. A good example of two good online backup tools are Ashay Online Backup and Keep It Safe.

Thanks for the response but im specifically asking the best way to transfer backed up images offsite.  Whether the backup software supports this or i need an ftp server to transfer the images to.  The client doesnt want to use a manged service provider they want to do this themselves.
