This option is not available in sql 2012.  However I could get this by right clicking on instance name and selecting  "Facets" option.  But other options  are not avialable

Which Edition of SQL 2012 are you working with?
How's the memory is configured (Min & Max memory)?
The server is dedicated to SQL Server or do you have more applications installed on it?
What's the Windows Server version?

It is Sql 2012 32 bit standard edition.  Min server Mem = 0  Max Server Mem = default

OS - Micwin 2008 Standard.

Only one SQl server instance but this instance  is catering to multiple applications

Sql 2012 32 bit standard edition
A 32bit application can't access memory above 2GB. You can always enable AWE (Address Windowing Extensions). For that open a new query window as run the following commands:
sp_configure 'show advanced options', 1
RECONFIGURE WITH OVERRIDE
GO

sp_configure 'awe enabled', 1
RECONFIGURE WITH OVERRIDE
GO

You'll need to restart SQL Server service for this change takes effect.
vensaliAuthor Commented:
I Read  sql2012 32 bit automatically takes upto 4GB in 64bit windows. no need for AWE. In fact it is going to be deprecated.
Vitor MontalvãoMSSQL Senior EngineerCommented:
But you have 16GB of RAM. Why waste 12GB?
vensaliAuthor Commented:
But Sql2012 32bit max is 4gb . it cannot access more than 4gb
Vitor MontalvãoMSSQL Senior EngineerCommented:
I see what you mean. AWE is not longer available since SQL Server 2012. So, you need to install the 64bit version otherwise you're wasting memory and by the error is memory that you need.
