Removing email from mailbox using Exchange 2007

Hi Experts,

I have a user who has an email stuck in their Drafts folder. She is using Outlook 2011, the back end is an Exchange 2007. Even when using OWA, the user is not able to delete this email.

Is there a way for me to delete this email from the server side?

Thanks.

Did you tried using OWA? Or configure it on another machine without cache mode and try to delete. Also, try to drag to sent folder. If none of these solution work, You can use mfcmapi tool to delete it.

Do you have an Outgoing rule that is moving the messages?

If no, then create a new Identity and see if the problem goes away.

Also depending on how your Outlook is configured you may want to take a look at this thread.

Try to use Export-Mailbox cmdlet to search this message and delete this message.

Something like this:

Get-Mailbox UserName | Export-Mailbox -SubjectKeywords “Subject line” –ContentKeywords “keywords of the content in the message body or in the attachment content” -DeleteContent
