pin external hard drive to task bar in windows 8.1

I need to know how to pin an external hard drive to windows 8.1 task bar? I have the instructions for windows 7 but it does not work for 8.1.

External Hard Drive is in Windows Explorer (File Explorer). File Explorer is already (should be already) pinned to the taskbar on the left side. Is it? If so, you can only have one occurrence of File Explorer there (so far as I know).

So you would have to build a toolbar to display the External Drive and the toolbars are on the right hand side. You can make a toolbar by right clicking on the taskbar, select toolbar, new toolbar.

It should show up as the name you give it. That is how my toolbars show up (I use toolbars for shortcuts).
