Edition in a cell of a TStringGrid component

I set the Options property goEditing and goAlwaysShowEditor to be able to edit data in cells of a TStringGrid
Now I want to restrict the edition to a specific column, so not be able to edit if selected cell in not in that column.
How shall I proceed ?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can use OnSelectCell event to toggle between allow and not allow Editing of the entire StringGrid (i.e Edit option set to on or off) as per the current selected Column (or Row):
procedure TForm1.StringGrid1SelectCell(Sender: TObject; ACol,
  ARow: Integer; var CanSelect: Boolean);
  StrGrid: TStringGrid absolute Sender;
  if ACol = 2 then // disable editing if the current selected cell is in column two
    StrGrid.Options:= StrGrid.Options - [goEditing]
    StrGrid.Options:= StrGrid.Options + [goEditing];
