vCenter 5.1 GA Duplicate Search Results

I know we have a very old version of vcenter and planning to upgrade to vCenter 6 update 1 when it is released. I have notice a odd behavior that happens from time to time in vCenter.

Using the Fat Client if I search for a object I get duplicate results for the same object yet if I click the search button again all duplicate go away.

Any time I restart to vcenter services I notice old alerts that were cleared / marked a green show up again?

Anyone seen this before?
