"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can put a shortcut to Task Manager (taskmgr.exe)  in:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

Hi

I am not sure if understood your question right but you can get a new task manager window by pressing
 Ctrl+Shift+Escape anywhere in Windows

Other ways to get task manager
Mouse Shortcut: Right-click the Windows taskbar and select Start Task Manager.
Traditional Method: Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and select Start Task Manager.

To run automatically when computer starts windows look at this link

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ie/windows/schedule-task#

place the below and click the option when computer starts
C:\Windows\System32\taskmgr.exe

Go to the start menu > All the programs, and made a right click on the file "Démarrage", then click to Open (Click to Open every user if you wish that the program launches about is the open session).

In the window which opens, made a right click on an empty location > New > Shortened.

Click to Browse, and specify the file to be started in the same time as Windows.

"you want lauch taskmgr.exe"

Click on Next, to end the assistant.

I don't have a "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu".
I did put it in the "C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" folder per instruction I found on the web, but that didn't work.
