Office 2013 key

I have a user that was using an email account that he closed. He closed it because he thought it was the best thing to do because of a virus he picked up though that email account. Anyway, I just reformatted his laptop and now he needs his Office 2013. We do not have the key and the email account associated to his Office 2013 is the account he closed

any suggestions are appreciated

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Ask Microsoft Store Support if they can help given the email address that was used. You would have to explain that the email account was closed.

Office 2013 is activated and used by email address in the case of subscriptions.

Hi

As you have his email account associated to his Office 2013 and contact numbers that you might have used when you purchased the license give this a try --call the microsoft support team and see if they can give you a duplicate key if your office 2013 license is still valid.
