How to configure ODBC .Net Drivers for Oracle?

I have Oracle .Net and Oracle Data Provider for .Net installed, but it they don't appear in the ODBC Data Source Administrator.  How can I configure these drivers?

I'm guessing you downloaded the ODAC?

There should be a configure.bat file you ran for set up ODP.Net.  One of the options should have been ODBC as well.  Just rerun the configure.bat from a CMD prompt and provide the necessary parameters.

I installed the following from the Oracle Client 11.2.0.1 for 11g:

Oracle ODBC Driver
Oracle Provider for OLE DB
Oracle Data Providers for .Net
Oracle Providers for ASP .Net

I have created a new service name with Oracle Net Manager and that connects good.

Do I still need the ODAC?

This has nothing to do with the Data Access Providers.

Not if you installed the drivers from the full client version.

The client install should have set up the ODBC drivers for you.  If you aren't seeing them when you try to use them, make sure you installed the correct Bit version.

If your machine is 64Bit, there are two ODBC administrator programs:
