Migrate local profile to domain profile - w/o loss of settings and data

Dear Supporters!

I need an option to transfer local profiles to domain user profiles.

In XP and 7 I have done this with the "Default User" and the "Default" profile in Windows 7.
By renaming the system default profile to "Default.ori" or "Default User.ori" for example and naming the migration profile to "Default" or "Default User".

In Windows 8 this doesn't work anymore, after minutes of loading the profile I get an error from the User Profile Service and get back to login screen.

How are you doing such an operation?
If I have to buy software to do this, I will do - if it's tricky I'll do it too...

Please give me note.

Thanks.

Hello,

for this I have used Windows Easy Transfer (on Windows 7), but I do know it is available on XP and Vista as well.
You just run it, choose user account and it will save all your data and settings, and then you migrate to a new computer (copy/paste). On new computer you first login as a new user, and then you run same application and choose to migrate data to a new user profile.

No in Windows 7 and XP I have a solution...I'm looking for Windows 8...
Same thing is available in Windows 8 and 8.1.
From within Windows 8/8.1 just search for Windows Easy Transfer application, which is already installed, and there you go. Even though link I have posted says it is for XP, Visa and Win 7, it is available on Windows 8/8.1 as well.

Easy to use and does the trick :)

Regards,
Ivan.
OK, I give it a shot and come back with news.

OK, that's not that what I need...with EasyTransfer  I can backup my profile data from XP and Vista and migrate them to Windows 7/8.

So...what are you doing, if you have to migrate a local profile into a domain user Profile??

Please give me note.

Thanks.
